So many good reasons to frame! Rodeo and more with Steve Atkinson, Prescott AZ artist

The Frame and I and Prescott artist Steve Atkinson have teamed up on many charitable projects over the years! We would love to share some of these with you.

The Frame and I has donated framing on Steve’s artwork to raise funds and awareness for Boys to Men, Prescott Frontier Days Rodeo, Yavapai Big Brothers Big Sisters, Prescott Cowboy Poets Gathering, and more!

“The purpose of life is to discover your gift.
The work of life is to develop it. The meaning of life is to give your gift away.” -David Viscott

We put this cinnabar red rustic frame on this painting that Steve Atkinson donated to Boys to Men, a mentoring group for young men.

From the charity: “Boys to Men is a nonprofit, non-sectarian program that guides boys aged 13 – 17 through their crucial teen years toward a healthy manhood.

We provide weekend Rites of Passage, bi-monthly mentoring activities and wilderness outings.

Our program gives boys a chance to make a conscious choice about the kind of man he wants to become. We support that choice with healthy male role models and group mentoring.”

This is the frame we chose for Steve’s painting for the Frontier Days rodeo, 2018.

World’s Oldest Rodeo

Prescott Frontier Days®, Inc. presents the 131st annual World’s Oldest Rodeo® at the Prescott Rodeo Grounds.
Since 1888, this traditional event has occurred annually over the 4th of July weekend with eight breath-taking performances.

Yavapai Big Brothers Big Sisters featured this painting by Steve Atkinson at their 2017 gala auction event

This was one of the two choices for the Yavapai Big Brothers Big Sisters gala painting. It’s a watercolor study done prior to creating the oil painting. Even though this one wasn’t chosen for the feature painting, we framed up the watercolor because it’s awesome too!

We at the Frame & I are honored to be chosen Best Frame Shop for six years running, as well as the Reader’s Choice award by the Prescott Courier! Thank you, Prescott, for your support.
