Pumpkin spice picture framing

Susan Daigle Leach art

Do you feel it in the air? It’s October! Get ready for the leaves to start changing, for the air to have that little nip that warns of cooler, shorter days and long starry nights. With the change of seasons we are seeing some beautiful colors in our gallery artists’ newest paintings and drawings. It makes us excited for autumn’s holidays, kicking leaves and of course pumpkin spice!  We don’t really do pumpkin spice framing, in fact, we don’t recommend eating frames (unless you need fiber in your diet)!   🙂

We’ve curated a selection of “pumpkin spice” themed framing and artwork for this post. Do you love fall? Come visit us at the Frame & I picture framing and gallery, and you’ll get to enjoy all of the sumptuous, colorful art and handcrafted goodies we have in our store!  We’ve got a bounty of new paintings, photographs and drawings; a bushel of new jewelry in sparkling glass and vintage charm, an abundance of prints by local artists and charming Prescott, Arizona greeting cards.

Susan Daigle-Leach art pumpkin spice frame

Artist Susan Daigle-Leach created this miniature painting, “Ruffled Raven”. We put it in a “pumpkin spice” colored frame. He looks like he’s ready for fall, doesn’t he?

You can see more of Susan Daigle-Leach’s fantastic artworks here at her blog, and here at our gallery online – or come downtown, grab a pumpkin spice latte or a Mexican mocha at Wild Iris coffeehouse, jaunt across the street to our frame shop and enjoy Susan Daigle-Leach’s work in person!

russell johnson artwork pumpkin spice frames

Beautiful fall colors don’t last forever, unless you capture them in a painting! Check out this gorgeous autumn artwork by Russell Johnson at the Frame & I

Russell Johnson has been framing and painting for over 20 years, and it shows. His latest fall paintings are spirited and bright, and really capture the light and shadow of autumn. His paintings are done with palette knife – so the paint is very thick and textural. You MUST see this art in person to truly appreciate it!  Stop by the Frame and I at 229 W. Gurley downtown and check his artwork out.  Read more about Russell here.

robert knudson pastel artwork frame and i

Pastel paintings have a beauty and richness all their own. Artist Robert Knudson created this early fall scene with depth and care. He really has a way of putting soul and spirit into his paintings!

Robert Knudson, another of our gallery artists, creates oil and pastel paintings with a serene depth and beauty. When we look at his work we can hear the crickets chirp and the frogs sing, the babbling of the water over stones, the rustle of leaves in the trees. Let his beautiful paintings take you on a peaceful nature walk through the beauty and majesty of Arizona.

ida kendall pen and ink artwork

Longer nights bring out the nocturnal creatures… this little owl is “Far From Home”, a pen and ink drawing by Frame & I owner Ida Woll. The bare trees herald the onset of winter. No worries, he will find his way home to his cozy burrow!

Ida Woll, Frame and I owner and lifelong artist-framer, is a skilled pen and ink artist. Come see her originals right here in Prescott at the Frame and I gallery! Prints and cards available too.

We hope you’ve enjoyed learning a little bit more about our gallery artists, and we also hope you love fall as much as we do! Now, for your viewing pleasure, some examples of our pumpkin spice themed framing! All of these custom picture frames are 100% made by us, right here in little ‘ol Prescott at our picture frame shop.  Have you got some decorating to do? We can help! Come see us. And when you do, bring a coupon!  🙂  We love it when you read our blogs.  Happy Autumn and 1st of October, everyone!

Frame your stitchery!

We framed this Halloween needlepoint with handpainted designs on the mats that extend the stitched design beyond its borders. We love framing to enhance the art and make an overall adorable design!

Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween! Our design star champion framer, Francine Hackerott, made this spooky coffin frame for a competition entry.

Cozy Campfire

Cozy Campfires, s’mores, spooky stories… it’s what fall is made of!

Frame your stitchery!

This buffalo scene is an embroidery designed and stitched by our client. We framed it up in suede and burl to play off of all the texture in the art. It looks like a winter storm is brewing!

Needle Point

Fall holidays are when we gather close together. This sweet1930’s  needlework is framed in a perfectly cozy craftsman style frame.  See how it matches the frame above the fireplace in the needlepoint too? That’s what we picture framers do, make a perfect fit for your art and frame!
