Halloween stitchery custom framed with a green burl frame and handpainted touches on the triple matting. We painted the details on the mat to tie the framing to the art and make an overall adorable design!

Stitchers are true artists… We salute you!  We know that most needlepoint art takes months to complete, involving thousands of tiny stitches and endless threading of needles.  Whether you’re working from a cross stitch kit, or you designed an embroidery yourself; The Frame and I can frame your stitchery!

Bobbin Lace technique stitched heart with red beads, framed romatically in red silk and gold.

We have over 30 years of experience framing needlepoint art. Our framing experts know how to stretch, pin or lace so the needlepoint lays flat in the frame. We use acid free, archival materials in our framing; along with UV filtering anti-reflective glass, to preserve the colors and fibers for years and years. Your needlepoint will be protected from the elements and inevitable march of time in one of our custom designed frames.

This buffalo scene is an embroidery designed and stitched by our client. We framed it up in suede and burl to play off of all the texture in the art.

Design matters! Our experience in design helps create the feeling you want for your stitchery. Whether it’s rustic or silly, holiday, ornate, sentimental or serious- we help you choose frame designs that make the art really stand out. We want your stitchery to be the center of attention with a great frame design and anti reflective glass to show off your hand work.

What don’t you see matters too! All of these stitcheries have glass on them. You can’t see reflections because we’ve used UV filtering, anti-reflective ArtGlass on them. At most angles and in most settings, the glass is virtually invisible. A tiny bit of reflection occasionally shows up, but for the most part this is the clearest, least reflective glass out there! We love it for needlepoint because it really lets the beauty of the fiber and the detail of the stitches shine through.

Get your stitchery project out and bring it to us here at The Frame & I, where we’ll frame it and you’ll love it!  Thanks for reading, all the best! -Ida K.

A hobo clown sleeping in a vintage washtub looks relaxed… but the laundry’s not getting done! A frame that looks like old railroad ties with a leathery triple mat suits this humorous stitchery perfectly.
